Radhanath Swami says, “To fail is not much of a loss…”

To fail is not much of a loss, to lose one’s character and integrity is a major loss to our inner life. A person with proper disposition and attitude is willing to accept even major failures in the eyes of the world in order to preserve the high values that he or she believes in.

It indeed takes a person of Character to live by principles and this takes a lot of Internal Makeup…which i believe makes a person beautiful in the eyes of God, and that is what will bring us the ultimate fulfillment in our lives.

Here are some interesting thoughts by Radhanath Swami on character: “Character means ‘the golden rule’. In the western civilization the golden rule of Christian thought is, ‘Treat your neighbours as yourself’. Vedas say ‘par dukha dukhi’ – that a man or woman with a proper character understands others suffering to be his or her own.”

This is the most critical aspect in the journey of our spiritual lives as the Lord sees our inside and what we think and how we react to irreversals that are inevitably going to come no matter who we are.

True! It takes a person with a lot of character to fight for the ideals he believes in in spite of opposition and ridicule from others.

In current societal condition if we look at the major problems than we may conclude that we have compromise with our integrity and moral values just for some money or fame or like that..such compromises led us to degraded conditions. Only hope for this suggested here to accept behavioural integrity even at cost of loss of money..

The devotees of the Lord have always thought it right to to uphold character than winning thru means of Cheating etc. The Pandavas in the entire Mahbharat exemplified this value

very true! If wealth is lost nothing is lost, if health is lost something is lost but if character is lost everything is lost.
