It seems to be the toughest thing these days to find Joy in respecting others, because often everyone is leading a self-centered life. HH Radhanath Swami’s advise here is so perfect in this context. If one finds Joy in respecting others, there will be no conflicts as eventually everyone will find Joy in respecting others and caring less for own respect hunt. Thanks for publishing this.

Which is toughest thing to do. We always want self respect. It has been taught to all of us from the childhood. We take more pleasure if someone is respecting us but not the otherwise. If we have to respect others we have to take humble position, which is very difficult. Radhanath Swami quote appears very simple but having tons of meaning in it. He is having deep insight in spirituality. Thank you for sharing.

No doubt this is very tough to do, however I heard that with practice and by associating with saintly persons this quality can be developed. Let’s pray for everyone to develop this quality and the world will be a very peaceful place to live at :).

One needs to have a very pure heart to be able to offer respects to others.
Also one needs to be more conscious of one’s own shortcomings in order to be able to appreciate the good in others.

Very deep thought from HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj. He also says that we can always be happy by respecting others, however if we try to become happy by receiving the respect, then we would surely be miserable as that might not always happen.

Actually joy lies in giving respect rather than asking for it. But to do that we must have humility and purity of heart.
