Am I worthless?

1 Posted by - October 4, 2013 - Radhanath Swami

When we are influenced by the ahankar, the ego, if we see somebody else doing better than us, we become depressed—I am worthless, I am useless, why? Or we can become envious, when we want to hurt the person  we want to see that person fail so that it doesn’t hurt us so bad. These are all by-products of the ahankar, the ego. That ego puts us in a state of consciousness wherein we can be envious of anybody.

But when we actually understand our own spiritual nature, the glory of our own spiritual nature, we understand that there can be nothing better than who we are, there can be no one better than who we are. We are eternal!  We are full of knowledge!  We are full of bliss!  We are part of the all attractive, all merciful, all loving Lord, with the attributes of that. What a wonderful experience!

We under the condition never understand our original status as part and parcel of Krsna Who says “ekamsena sthito jagat——One single simple part can sustain the entire creation.” All glories to HH Radhanatha Svami Maharaja.

In a world characterized by cut-throat competition at every level, right from the time the child starts going to the school, its so relieving to hear this message that we are all individuals, eternal part & parcels of God full of knowledge & bliss and nothing and no one can be better than who we are. It brings about such a paradigm change in the way we do and see things. Thank you Radhanath Swami for giving us this priceless knowledge about our own identity!

So hope giving! We are always comparing ourselves with others. We have to understand that all of us are unique and different from each other and realize our true spiritual nature.

From the very birth we are trained, to always approch in life to stand out of the croud. And in such situation we always feel anxiety of loosing our individuality with respect to our external designation.
But its so nice to know that we all are same for that parmatma as his lovable child.
And he treats all of us with that same affection.
Its really very releaving to heart.
