Radhanath Swami on Fame

Radhanath Swami on Fame

Fame is like a shadow, if you go near it, it goes away. Just try to go away from it, then it follows you.

So true. No one can achieve long lasting fame by artificial means of running behind fame. But for one who only focuses on selfless service the fame naturally follows. Many thanks for publishing this wisdom by HH Radhanath Swami.

what you said here is very true , we have seen people with selfless service attitude like Radhanath swami and others, although are not behind fame, actually become famous in true sense.

So well said Damodar… HH Radhanath Swami is certainly such a famous personality even though he is always looking only for the opportunities to serve selflessly. We see so many other such personalities as well… like the guru of HH Radhanath Swami… Srila Prabhupada Swami is also famous world over due to his tremendous selfless service.

Thank you Radhanath Swami for this insightful quote. Its so amazing that the entire world is behind name & fame, but real glory comes to the one who is running away from such worldly name & fame.

  3. Swami ji warns us of after effects of desire to be famous. We must cultivate our life towards service and not to be famous.
